Where It Began
During my pregnancy, I learned that my daughter had a serious heart condition.
I knew that when she was born, we would not simply go home together. She would need to stay in the hospital for a while, and I would not be able to be by her side every minute.
What stayed with me most was this:
Before she ever saw the world, she already knew me.
She knew my voice.
She knew my scent.
She knew the rhythm of my presence.
How do I make sure she still feels me, even when I cannot physically be there?
I wanted her to feel that she was still close to me.
To hear my voice.
To feel that I was right beside her.
To know that, even when we had to be apart, my love never left her side.
That promise became Cuddling Creatures.

Why Voice and Scent Matter
Before birth, babies begin recognizing the world through the signals closest to them.
Among the strongest are a parent’s voice and scent.

By the time they are born, that sound is already deeply familiar.
Even a simple whisper or lullaby can bring comfort.

A parent’s natural scent is one of the first signals babies recognize.
It helps them feel calm, safe, and connected.
Familiar scents create a sense of comfort and calm.
Cuddling Creatures bring voice and scent together, helping babies feel the comforting presence they already know.
HOW TO PREPARE YOUR CUDDLING CREATURE
A few simple steps to carry your voice and scent.
Record your voice
Step 1
Remove the recorder from your Cuddling Creature’s head.
Step 2
Move the switch to R (record) on the right.
Press the heart once. When you hear a beep and see the red light, your recorder is ready.
Step 3
Record your message for your baby.
When you’ve finished, press the heart again to stop recording.
Step 4
Move the switch to P (Play) on the left.
Place the recorder back inside your Cuddling Creature’s head.
Add your scent
Step 1
Detach the blanket completely from your Cuddling Creature’s head.
Step 2
Place the blanket around your neck so it can absorb your natural scent.
Avoid perfume or strong lotions.
Step 3
Fasten the lower snaps around your neck so the blanket stays comfortably in place.
Step 4
Reattach the blanket to your Cuddling Creature’s head.
Wear it close to your skin for 30–60 minutes, ideally once a week.
Your baby already knows your voice and your scent. These familiar signals help them feel calm and connected.
